A material sample rarely tells the whole story. Behind every stone, timber or textile we specify is a relationship — with a quarry, a workshop, an artisan — built and tested over years of collaboration.

Sourcing at this level isn't about finding the most beautiful material; it's about finding the material that will perform, age gracefully, and arrive on site exactly when the build programme needs it.

That's why we treat our supplier and artisan network as a genuine part of the design process, not a step that happens after it. The right material, sourced too late or from the wrong hands, can undo months of careful design.
